A GUIDE TO SOCIALSTUCK

WHAT IS SOCIALSTUCK?
Now what is socialstuck exactly? Well, socialstuck is the personification of sites or so in the style of Homestuck.Despite the "social" part in the name, we're not limited to social media! We also have non-social sites, browsers, worms, etc!You can have a human, a troll, a kemonomimi, or a robot character! Possibilities are endless!Shipping is also quite big here, we use the classic quadrants, aka troll romance, for relationships! Everyone here can have their own ships and different opinions, so just go nuts!
ORIGINS
When people were first panicking about twitter thanks to elon musk. Twitter users started to migrate to Tumblr, and Tumblr started the trend of #rent lowering gunshots as a way to scare off the twitter users.zzoupz then posted this about Tumblr and Twitter having a kismesissitude. The domino effect took place here and with calhanx's addition on November 7th, 2022, was the official creation of Socialstuck!
"OFFICIAL"? WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?
Well, calhanx was not the first one to come up with the idea of socialstuck! Actually, back in 2012 a user named cat-babel was the first one to post the concept of socialstuck! How funny.
Though before socialstuck there have been past versions of website personifications, most notably the interwebs series, this was a very popular blog in Tumblr, so interwebs fans would want to continue its legacy! (we would even reference this like how Tumblr's egg design is basically the interwebs Tumblr)Time is a flat circle after all!

the organizer, razzbubby, formed a team with other tumblr users under the name, Timesync, to create this game that is obviously inspired by the games Hiveswap: Friendsim and Pesterquest.it currently has 4 volumes out and is planned to have 10 finished routes. highly recommend you to play it before scrolling any further as I'll be getting into spoiler territory!
The game has done some worldbuilding for these characters and gave them purpose or reasons of their existence.the setting takes place in CYBERSPACE, quite similar to VR chat, users and websites can interact with each other in the digital world. Users and sites can travel around the Cyberspace with hyperlinks that act as teleporters, or vehicles made by browsers, the most common type of vehicle here are hoverboards.Websites act as mascots for the site they're representing, meaning they are not the whole site itself. The sites don't hold much power to make updates of their area, their bosses do. That can be seen in both Tumblr and Twitter's routes: Tumblr's home is falling apart thanks to the terrible coding by his bosses and Twitter's home is getting ruined thanks to his own.Users in the Cyberspace have one special rule that they all must follow, they must have some sort of visor in order to access the digital world, everything else they can go wild, do you want to be a human? sure, an animal? go ahead! something completely unrealistic and makes no sense? absolutely!

This should not stop you from making your own designs and worldbuilding. I mean, this game wouldn't exist if it weren't for other people making their own designs!
ALTERNATE UNIVERSES
Socialstuck is not exempt from AUs! there are various AUs of this fandom, like the Tumblr office AU (which is multiple Tumblrs such as Labs, Live, Mart, etc.) or the Trickster AU. but the most popular AU is the SOCIALSTUCK.EXE AU!
Made by the user tailsmaster, Socialstuck.exe is an apocalyptic AU where the sites have gotten horribly corrupted and can infect other other sites.It was originally a joke doodle of Twitter as sonic.exe, but then like the corruption, it started to infect Timesync and expanded the lore of this AU.There are three types of classes the infected can fall under:Feral: Animalistic, rabid. Often danger on sight
Malice: Purpose to cause harm, still witholds most human qualities. Often displays heightened intelligence
Suffer: Alive in some way, subjected to agony by the corruption. Still withholds human qualitiesSome may possess multiple qualities (or even different classes outside of this list too.. which hasn't been implemented yet)Taken from the toyhouse description

HOW TO MAKE AN OC
As I've said before you can go nuts on the process of making your own characters, both usersonas and websites, its the internet after all!
For an AI oc, Just select something from the digital world to personify, and draw them in the homestuck style!
Dont be afraid to make doubles of websites! no one here is going to maul you to shreds if you make another Youtube or something, You can even make your own version of me! though I want all info of me to be accurate as possible.
